Who we are

What we collect

• Your email address, and whether you ticked the box for occasional film updates.
• When and where you signed up: the time, this page, and if present, the campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM source, medium, campaign, term, content) and the referring website.

To keep out spam we use a hidden form field and Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving check that tells people from bots using technical browser signals. Cloudflare also processes your IP address to deliver and protect the site.

Share links

When you send the film from this site, we make a short link such as ingunswetrustfilm.com/seat/k7qm2. With it we record who you said it was for, which message you started from, whether you changed it, how you sent it, and your first name if you added one. Your name is shown to the people who open your link, and nowhere else. We never record the words of your message.

When someone opens a share link, or plays the film on this site, we count it with the country and region Cloudflare reports, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer) and how far into the film they get. We don’t use cookies for this, we don’t store IP addresses, and we don’t connect it to your email address. Your browser keeps a list of the links you’ve made so we can show you later how many were opened; clearing this site’s data removes it. Share-link records are stored by Cloudflare and kept for 24 months. To have a name removed from a link, email us.

How we use it

We send you one reminder when the film is released. We send occasional updates about the film only if you ticked that box, or signed up for updates after release. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Where it goes

Sign-ups are stored in Airtable, a US-based service, and may be sent through an email provider to deliver your reminder. Cloudflare hosts this site. This can mean processing outside Australia or your home country. We don’t sell your information or share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 24 months after our last email to you, whichever comes first.

Your choices

To unsubscribe, see or correct your details, or have them deleted, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under the Australian Privacy Act, GDPR or similar laws, and you can raise a concern with your local privacy regulator.
